Installations

Not sure what you are looking for? Maybe a free customer liaison visit will help?

Sometimes you just don’t know what you don’t know. What’s the best microscope to choose for the project we have? We need to do some hardness testing but aren’t sure what’s the most effective way to go about it? We get asked these questions all the time. That’s why we’ve developed the customer liaison visit. It’s aimed at helping you make the best choice for your business and product.

So, why not chat to one of our experienced area managers? They are available to discuss your requirements and make informed suggestions and proposals, taking into account your technical requirements and budget. We can offer you a number of options which can be tailored to your requirements. If you want to know more or book a visit then contact us to book an appointment.

Proposal – Giving you clear solutions and options to help you make the best decision.

After each customer consultation, we will provide a product proposal as a written formal quotation or budget quotation. The quotation will include the complete costing and full product specifications with a list of accessories. The quotation can be adjusted to meet your needs.

Installation – Okay, I’ve bought it, how do I get it to work?

Most of our customers like to install the equipment themselves, but this can lead to issues straight away as sometimes the machine is not installed correctly and will not perform at its optimum level. What we recommend, is that one of our trained technicians install the machine to ensure all systems are working, and provide basic training for people who will be using it.

Additional Training – I’ve had the basic training but need a little more help.

We can provide a range of training for operators at your premises or ours. A quotation can be given dependant on requirements.

Customer Documents – What else do I get?

On installation you will receive the full range of machine manuals and necessary quality documents.

For sample preparation we can also discuss preparation procedures choosing from our range of consumables.

Safety data sheets are available for all our products.

Warranty

Warranty – What guarantees do I get?

New machines supplied by Spectrographic are offered with a one year warranty and used machines with a 3 month warranty. Obviously, there is a duty of ownership, in that we expect machines to be used in a fair and professional manner. However, if there is a problem that cannot be resolved through our post purchase support, then we will consider this when warranty claims are made.

Demos and Training

Demonstration Days – Try before you buy!

Sometimes you’re just not sure what you want. There’s so much equipment to choose from. Which is the right one?
Well, why not have a test drive? If you were buying a car you would, wouldn’t you? At Spectrographic we believe the same should apply to buying equipment. With that in mind, we’ve arranged Demo Days for you to come and see for yourself. We’ll demonstrate the equipment and let you have a go. This will enable you to compare and contrast with what you have now and what you need for the future. To attend then contact our office or speak to your Spectrographic representative.

Follow up – We don’t just desert you, we want to continue to support you.

How many times have you purchased something and then been let down by ongoing support and guidance. At Spectrographic we don’t do that. One week after purchase we’ll give you a call just to check everything is OK. After a month we’ll speak to you again and check you have no issues with the equipment to make sure it’s still working at maximum efficiency and effectiveness for you. Needless to say, that if you need to get in touch we’re at the end of the phone and will resolve any issues or queries you have. We can also offer ongoing service and consultancy support, although this may come at an additional cost.

Metallurgical Training – What if I want more in depth knowledge?

We can make you an expert! That’s if you want to be, of course. We have a full range of metallurgical training courses and can offer customers the opportunity to participate in ‘Training for Metallography’. Training courses are available to cover the fundamentals of metallography.

  • Sample Sectioning
  • Sample Encapsulation
  • Sample Polishing
  • Microscopy
  • Hardness Testing

Training courses can be tailored to suit your needs and are presented by a Ph.D experienced metallographer and lecturer. Let us know your requirements.
