Diamond paste is available in a syringe, which is used for accurate application of the diamond paste directly onto the polishing cloth. The paste should be distributed onto the polishing cloth with a spatula. The dispersion of the diamond paste can be improved with the addition of a lubricant which should also be used during polishing of samples.
